On November 16, 2025, the 2025 International Editorial Board Meeting of the Journal of Magnesium and Alloys (JMA) was successfully held in a hybrid online-offline format. The offline venue was situated in Ma'anshan, Anhui Province, while the online session was conducted via Zoom. A total of 185 editorial board members and early-carrer editorial board members from 13 countries, including the United States, Germany, the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, Spain, Singapore, Russia, Japan, South Korea, Iran, India, and China, participated in the meeting. The meeting was attended by Academician Fusheng Pan, President of the International Mg Society, Editor-in-Chief of JMA, and Honorary Director of the National Engineering Research Center for Magnesium Alloys. The meeting was chaired by Professor Xiaodong Peng, Executive Deputy Editor-in-Chiefof JMA, and organized by Professor Xianhua Chen, Director of the Editorial Office.

The meeting began with a review of JMA's progress over the past year. Professor Yan Yang, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the JMA, provided a detailed report on the journal's achievements and challenges. Following this, Professor Xiaodong Peng, Executive Deputy Editor-in-Chief of JMA, announced the list of 2024 Outstanding Editorial Board Members and presented certificates. Professor Rongshi Chen from the Institute of Metal Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences, delivered a speech as a representative award recipient.
