1.TheZectron Folding E-Bike Is A Compact City Slicker With Outstanding Range

Today's commuter e-bikes are getting lighter and smaller than before. This makes perfect sense given that commutere-bikes are designed to be transported around cities, inside elevators, buses, and trains in addition to being used for transportation on public roads. As aresult, the ideal choice is typically an ultra-compact, modern e-bike that can fold. An excellent example is this cool new folding e-bike from Zectron, which also has a clever trick up its sleeve.

The e-bike will initially be offered in a variety of hues, all of which are intended to highlight its futuristic style. It boasts what the manufacturer refers to as a unibody frame, which basically means that the bike’s frame is made out of one piece of metal. This is said to provide a higher level of comfort. The Zectron uses aerospace-grade magnesium alloy for the frame, a material that’s highly praised for its lightweight, yet sturdy properties. Zectron has a proprietary suspension system in addition to its patented frame design, which is intended to make your ride as comfortable aspossible.

2. Magnesiumdemand could double in just 8 years. These ASX stocks are hoping to catch the wave

Latelast year, the global magnesium market was turned on its head when the low-costChinese producers slashed output by ~50% due to ongoing energy sector reform.

Its parked a run by investors on ASX magnesium project developers like Latrobe Magnesium (ASX:LMG) and Korab Resources (ASX:KOR) as buyers desperately looked to diversify their supply outside China.

Producers, like Magontec (ASX:MGL), made a killing.

While prices have now settled back to pre-spike levels, CM Group’s Alan Clark says the volatility is far from over.

“That price spike was driven by the Chinese authorities clamping down on their semi-coking ovens,” says Clark, who has worked in the magnesium sector for over25 years.

“Many Chinese magnesium producers are co-located with coking ovens, because they supply heat energy at low cost to drive the process.”

“So,when the local authorities threatened to shut down more than half the cokingovens because of their poor environmental performance, there was an enormous threat to magnesium production.”

There is a threat of more shutdowns, Clark says.

“There is still some [government] policy which has to be worked through, and we don’t expect to see that until later this year.” he says.

“If the government is just as ruthless in its approach to the semi-coking industry when the policy is next released, we might see another price spike.”

3. DSLR CameraBuying Guide

Most DSLR cameras have better build quality than compact cameras. Often these cameras are made from materials such as magnesium alloy, rather than plastic as is the case with some cheaper cameras. These higher quality materials allow for better performance in harsh conditions and a more rugged look.

More advanced cameras have weather sealing toprotect them from light water and dust damage. Most have in-camera sensor cleaning, which vibrates the sensor to remove small dust particles from the sensor. This is especially useful for photographers who change lensesfrequently.

6. Hands-onreview: 12th Gen Acer Swift 5 laptop

It’s always difficult to choose a new laptop, even more so today with all these choices on the market. If you plan to change your laptop this year, then the new Acer Swift 5 could be an idea loption for you. The Taiwanese brand released the 2022 version of its Acer Swift 5 and there is definitely no lack of features.

When it comes to visual appearance, the Swift 5 looks very pleasant and the finishes make it look very high-tech.

Regarding the weight, the laptop is extremely light at only 1.2 kg, making it much easier to transport. The lightweight feel can also be explained by the finishes of the laptop, made of magnesium alloy - which is very light compared to the usual aluminium - and you can have the choice of gold or copper.

The backlight keyboard of the Swift 5 is one of the most enjoyable aesthetic features. Another good point of this keyboard is how the touches are silent when you type on it. This allows you to work quietly and efficiently. The charging cable is not a USB-C, which could bea bit off-putting to start, but you will quickly forget that when you realisethe provided charger offers an amazing 17 hours of battery life.

7. 2022Cadillac V-Series Blackwings to Get Magnesium Wheels

Magnesium wheels have been used for decades in professional auto racing, prized for their light weight. Cadillac claims that magnesium has the highest strength-to-weightratio of any commonly available metal. But magnesium wheels are virtually unheard of in current production vehicles, though Chevrolet offered them as an expensive option on some fifth-generation (C5) Corvettes. Now Cadillac is bringing true mag wheels to the street as an option on its 2022 CT4-V and CT5-VBlackwing high-performance models.
